Shortlist revealed: 2022 Australian Interior Design Awards

The shortlist for the 19th annual Australian Interior Style Awards has been announced. The awards program, a partnership party of the Design Institute of Australia and Architecture Media’s Artichoke journal, understand and rejoice inside style excellence.

In 2022, 450 entries ended up acquired, of which 185 were shortlisted across seven primary groups: Retail Design, Hospitality Style, Office Layout, Community Design, Installation Design, Residential Structure and Residential Decoration.

Winners of these classes will be declared at a gala presentation at the Hyatt Regency Sydney on 17 June 2022, alongside with recipients of other awards together with the Sustainability Improvement Award, Award for Inside Structure Influence, Most effective of State Awards for Industrial Style and Household Design and style, the Emerging Inside Style Follow Award, Ideal Intercontinental Design and the ultimate prize, the Premier Award for Australian Inside Structure.

The 2022 jury includes: Madeleine Blanchfield (Madeleine Blanchfield Architects, NSW) Eid Goh (Architects Eat) Stuart Krelle (Luchetti Krelle, NSW) Rosie Morley (Fender Katsalidis, Vic), Jade Nottage (Tom Mark Henry, NSW) Beatrix Rowe (Beatrix Rowe Interior Style, Vic) and Peter Walker (Cumulus Studio, Tas) and Scott Walker (Hassell).

The jury is convened by Geraldine Maher, principal of Geraldine Maher Style and design, with John Gertsakis, director of Product Stewardship Centre of Excellence, as sustainability advisor.

The Australian Inside Style Awards are co-offered by the Style Institute of Australia and Artichoke journal and is supported by Dulux, Place, Sub-zero and Wolf, Laminex, Interiors Australia, and Elton Team.
